Why Knot Love 💗

Cats at the Humane Society of Greater Miami enjoy their handmade pet beds, donated from students at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy through Why Knot Love.

Why Knot Love is a service organization established by a  student crocheter at her high school. An involved and passionate beginner, Frances accepted the opportunity to continue the organization's mission after the President graduated. Since her "takeover", Why Knot Love has bloomed. From crocheted octopus teethers donated to the premature babies in the NICU at Nicklaus Children's Hospital to a huge granny square charity blanket for a foster child at His House Children's Home, Why Knot Love has been able to help others through the beautiful art of crocheting.

Our mission is to provide others, whether that means animals or humans, with the comforts of crochet. Through student involvement and participation, we are able to send donations to various non-profits, including the Lotus House Women's Shelter, The Humane Society of Greater Miami, and others.

We are excited and happy to partner with various Non-Profits across South Florida. If you or someone you know would appreciate a hand crocheted good, please email whyknotlove.service@gmail.com. If you are interested in donating a crocheted item for one of our drives, please let us know so we can stay in touch and keep you updated. Thank you!
